For the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones, we've been supporting Daenerys Targaryen and her claim to the Iron Throne. However, at the season finale, we learned that Jon Snow might actually have the greater claim. He was revealed to actually be Aegon Targaryen, the legitimate son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Which makes Daenerys his aunt...

But a new Reddit theory asks if Jon Snow has a twin, who Ned Stark wasn't able to raise as his own. User BrittanyCooper13 suggests Jon's "twin was born first and inherited their fathers genes of the Targaryen; the white hair, purple eyes. And Lyanna knew that Ned couldn't pass that child as his so she sent that child away, but Jon having darker hair and eyes meant that Ned could raise his as his own child."

The user continued, saying that this theory would help explain the book's title, A Song of Ice and Fire. "This would mean that Jon would be the song of ice and his twin the song of fire... Jon could stay King in the North and his Twin could sit on the iron throne."

...But doesn't the fire represent Daenerys?

While all of this is interesting, it doesn't seem likely, since Bran would have seen another birth when he visited the tower. Yet, it's interesting to consider. In fact, many actually believe that Meera Reed was Jon's twin. The two are described to look incredibly similar in the books, and Howland Reed was the only living person at the Tower of Joy during the events of Jon's birth.

While we'd definitely like to see more about all of this, there already seems to be a lot going on. And I'd honestly be perfectly content to just watch a season about Jon and Daenerys. Game of Thrones returns with its eighth and final season during the first half of 2019!
