Both fans of Riverdale and fans of the classic 1990s series Sabrina the Teenage Witch were all in extreme excitement when it was announced the original Archie comics version of Sabrina would be adapted into a TV series. However, it's been very disappointing to hear the new show will not have any deeper connections to Riverdale other than the obvious.
But we have more exciting news, as it's been announced a second spin-off is now in the works! This is amazing to say the least.
At the Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour Panel on Monday, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and The CW President Mark Pedowitz discussed the new series, explaining plans are still being made for it.
“We’re really excited but we’re still early on in the process. It will be very different from Riverdale," said Aguirre-Sacasa. We need to know more!
Now it's time to start speculating what the series will exactly be about. There's so many options! Maybe it's about the parents of Riverdale in their high school years, and the upcoming flashback episode is meant to set up the spin-off? Or maybe it's about the Black Hood and his origins? We would love absolutely any of this and more.

There's definitely a while before we'll see this spin-off, but until then, we'll be theorizing all the details and will be watching Season 3 of Riverdale when the fan-favorite show returns on October 10!
