To celebrate the release of 'Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald,' Cinemark will be holding a multi-day marathon where all nine 'Harry Potter' films, including 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,' will be screened in Cinemark's trademarked XD format.
Starting on Aug. 31, the 141 Cinemark XD equipped-theaters across the country will show each franchise installment through September 6th. Somewhat similar to IMAX, Cinemark XD will let audiences see the generation-defining films with enriched color tints and enhanced sound systems. Cinemark is charging $5 per ticket per movie or a $25 pass which will let you see all the movies during the week-long marathon.
J.K. Rowling's coming of age saga surrounding the titular character and his exploration of the 'Wizarding World' has come to be an important intellectual property to young people today. The prequel 'Fantastic Beasts' series set out to expand the lore of the world, but failed to grab audience attention the way 'Harry Potter' had.
Fortunately, star Ezra Miller has already stated that 'The Crimes of Grindelwald' will contain more connective tissue to the central 'Harry Potter' stories, including cameos by shared characters, artifacts, and narratives.
