​Even those who aren't fans of the MTV show Teen Mom were in shock this week when viewers saw Jenelle Evans pulling out a gun with her son in the car, after an intense bout of road rage struck her.


While the whole scene was insane, most viewers were concerned with the well being of son Jace, eight, who was sitting in the passenger seat as his 26-year-old mom grabbed a firearm and placed it on the side of her seat. In the alarming clip, Jenelle tails the driver who was running her off the road, and Jace tells her, “If he tries to get out and hurt you I can grab this Nerf gun and whip him."

One of the many people who responded to this episode was ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, with whom Jenelle shares son Kaiser with. Nathan is eager to use this footage against Jenelle in court, as he tries to get custody of Kaiser, four.


“I think this helps me in my situation of getting custody of Kaiser because it shows an unstable environment and a very hectic situation instead of being calm … [and] escalating where it could be potentially more hazardous,” Nathan told TMZ. “It shows that the child might be in danger being in a hostile situation like that and not making sound judgment to keep the children safe.”

Nathan also expressed his desire to "investigate further into the raw footage." MTV made the decision to edit out the actual clip of Jenelle pulling out her gun from the show, as instead text was shown over a black screen explaining what happened.


It wouldn't be the worst idea for Jenelle to lose custody of Kaiser, but she also has two other children to care for. Famously, the reality star gave birth to Jace, with then-boyfriend Andrew Lewis, back in 2009. After having Kaiser with Nathan, she also had a daughter with now-husband David Eason, in 2017. 

Clearly, it's not ideal for Jenelle to have custody of all of these children, so if Nathan could get one off her hands, maybe things would be less hectic for her.
