We are one step closer to getting another series in the Archie Comics world, as The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is heading to our screens soon! While there's no official release date for the Netflix series yet, at least we have some new details while we wait for Riverdale to return this fall.

Although us '90s kids are familiar with Melissa Joan Hart's Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996-2003), this series will be a much darker version of the character, and will follow more closely to the comics, in a very similar tone as Riverdale.

And showrunner of both shows, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, just took to Twitter to give the next update for Sabrina, the first official poster! "Here we go! So exciting.....#Sabrina #Chilling," he wrote.

Not much we don't already know is revealed with this poster, as it shows the familiar Sabrina illustration, along with "Coming Soon" to Netflix. However, it does remind us the show is in production, and we'll get to see it shortly in the future, which is still super exciting!

Most of us Riverdale fans are excited for this series, to see if there's any crossover between the two worlds. Although the CW series does mention Greendale and Sabrina clues, Netflix has denied any connections just yet. CW boss Mark Pedowitz also told Archie Digest: A Riverdale Podcast co-host Chris Hayner that for now, Netflix is focused on establishing their series first, but seem open to anything in the future.

When it comes to the Riverdale cast, however, they seem much more conclusive about their views on a crossover. Actress Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper, said it "wouldn't make sense" for the "two worlds to collide." She believes her character lives solely in Riverdale, not Greendale.

Similarly, Ashleigh Murray, who plays Josie McCoy, shared her doubts about a crossover, actually not feeling it at all. "I say no because Sabrina is a very different world," she stated.

While the actors in Riverdale seem against this idea, fans are seriously begging for a crossover. If there's actually no possibility of it happening, why all the Greendale mentions in this past season? We're not buying that it will never happen.

Here's to hoping The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina gets a release date ASAP!
