On The CW's Riverdale, Jughead and Veronica are rarely on the same page. But in real life, actors Cole Sprouse and Camila Mendes have a lot more in common than we'd think. In Camila's cover story for NYLON, she recalled her audition, meeting Lili Reinhart (Betty), and finding something she and Cole could bond over.

"I remember that moment so vividly, the three of us being in that room," Camila said. "I remember sitting next to Lili, being like, 'So, where are you from?' Just small talk before the audition."

"I remember talking with Cole," she continued. "We bonded over the fact that we both sweat a lot before auditions. I was literally in the room with paper towels... I would keep them under my arms and right before they called my name I would just put them away."

Camila and Cole also both graduated from New York University, just a year apart. And soon enough, their characters will also have something to share: a common enemy. While Jughead has always hated Veronica's father, she just hasn't always agreed with him. But at the end of the last season, Hiram Lodge has Archie, Veronica's boyfriend, arrested for a murder he didn't commit. Veronica finally starts to see her father as the villain.

"Her finally acknowledging her dad is the bad guy is a long time coming, but this one I think is the final blow so I'm excited to see how she fights him in season 3," Mendes said of her character. "I think it's about time they go head to head."

We're excited to see it, too! Season 3 of Riverdale airs on October 10, 2018.
