The next Marvel movie on the line-up will see the introduction of not only a new superheroine, but also one of Marvel's female leads take a new role as the Wasp.
In Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp, we jump time to right before the events of Avengers: Infinity War, as we take up the story right before The Snap and the devastation that it caused.
In the trailer, we do see that Scott Lang was put under house arrest, as explained in a line during Infinity War when Rhodey inquired where the other members of Cap's team (from Civil War) were.
Now, while the two heroes didn't make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, this movie will show audiences why, and according to Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, it will also be important to the Avengers storyline.
"Ant-Man and The Wasp also connects directly to Avengers 4," Feige revealed. "These characters are going to be very important going forward."
Now, while Ant-Man was already seen on set photos alongside Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk, there have not been very many set photos of Evangeline Lilly's Wasp on the Avengers 4 set.
The new photos from the AVENGERS 4 set show Tony Stark, Ant-Man, and Captain America all wearing a mysterious, unknown gadget on their wrists...— MCU News & Tweets (@MCU_Tweets) January 11, 2018

With the introduction of the Quantum Realm set to be seen and explored in this upcoming film, with this be the tie that will be important as the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves forward? We'll just have to wait and see.
