In an interview with Broadly, Caitlyn opened up about her fractured relationship with the Kardashians and the rest of her family.
She and Kris Jenner were divorced in 2014. She told Vanity Fair of their breakup, "Twenty percent was gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated."
Last year, Caitlyn released her memoir The Secrets of My Life, which detailed her relationship with Kris. However, the family then denounced the book on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as Kris claimed everything to be made up.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres last year, Kim Kardashian responded to the book. "My heart breaks for my mom, because I feel like she's been through so much," she said. "[Caitlyn's] promoting this book and she's saying all these things and you know, I just don't think it's necessary. I just feel like it's unfair; things aren't truthful."
In addition to playing in active role in raising Kim, Khloé and Rob, and fathering Kendall and Kylie, Caitlyn had two children with ex-wife Chrystie Crownover and two with ex-wife Linda Thompson.
However, she admitted she no longer has strong relationships with her children. "I spend a lot of time by myself here in the house," she told Broadly. "I have a lot of children, but sometimes just because of circumstances, maintaining a close relationship with your kids is very tough. They all have lives. They've all moved on."
