Daenerys had her dragons, Arya met her beloved Nymeria, Jon... well, as fans know, Ghost went missing for Game of Thrones Season 7.
Technically, the last time Ghost was seen was in Season 6 when he watched as his master rise from the dead.
But he was supposed to have a short scene with Jon where the King of the North bids his beloved companion and friend farewell before he leaves for Dragonstone.
Writer Bryan Cogman revealed Ghost was supposed to be seen early on in Season 7. He said of Season 7's Episode 2, "There was a bit here where Jon came out of the crypt, and Ghost came up to him and [Jon pet] him and said, 'Take care of [Sansa], watch over her for me.' But I guess those direwolves are expensive. I guess it got cut. Oh, well. Ghost is there somewhere roaming around."
Ghost did get a small mention by Sansa when she was talking to Arya a couple episodes later, but that was all the mention the direwolf had.
Interestingly, this wasn't the first time the direwolf was cut from the series. In Season 6, there was a scene where the traitorous Alliser Thorne was trying to persuade Jon's friend and future Night's Watch leader, Eddison Tollett, to release the creature North.
Of course, not only did Edd slyly hide the fact he was taking the wolf with him to the room where Jon's body was being held, later we see just how loyal the direwolf was, even ready to die protecting his master's body.
Sadly, the show could not spare the same loyalty to Ghost and all we got was a mention he was around Winterfell somewhere. Oh, well. Let's hope the crew budgets in the wolf for the final season... and it better not be just to see him die!
