Kim Kardashian is under fire again for something she's posted on social media. Shocker! This time around, in an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Kim promoted an appetite-suppressant lollipop.
Posing with candy by Flat Tummy, Kim advertised the "literally unreal" product, and people got seriously angry. Although she looked amazing in the photo, commenters were not pleased she was promoting something so unhealthy.
Out of the many to come for Kim was The Good Place star Jameela Jamil, who took to Twitter to express her frustration for the post in a series of tweets.
No. Fuck off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls. I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to. ☹️ pic.twitter.com/zDPN1T8sBM— Jameela Jamil (@jameelajamil) May 16, 2018
"You terrible and toxic influence on young girls," she said, directed at Kim. She continued her rant in another tweet, using a gif this time to share her feelings.
MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than “I had a flat stomach.” 🤯 pic.twitter.com/XsBM3aFtAQ— Jameela Jamil (@jameelajamil) May 16, 2018
"MAYBE don't take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN," her next tweet started.
And countless of people have agreed with Jameela, deeming what Kim was promoting severely dangerous and an awful example for younger audiences who obviously love the reality star and watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
What kind of mother would advertise appetite suppressants. Jesus Christ they're money hungry. no respect— Crystal 💃 (@_Katanuh) May 16, 2018
Some claimed Kim must be money hungry as it seems she'll promote anything.
God help us if her daughter ever carries excess weight! Nothing but appetite suppressants and black coffee in her lunchbox.— Cranky AF (@totalbullshirt) May 16, 2018
Others brought up what bad parenting skills she must have if this is the way she thinks.
What in the name of FUCK OFF is this bullshit? I'm out. I'm off to Mars. I've had enough.— Rachel Hawkins (@ourrachblogs) May 16, 2018
And others were just too done to even give a further comment.
As us Kim K fans know, she surely isn't money hungry, as she has tons of ways to make money (and does!); she just made a mistake. Taking notice of how much she offended people, Kim has since deleted the post.
Next time, she should definitely be more careful and conscious of how influential she is and how big of a role model she is to younger women everywhere. We can only hope she's learned from this! Now, we can move on.
