Beyoncé may be the biggest pop star on the planet, with her and Jay-Z basically acting as America's royal family, but Donald Glover isn't exactly small fry either. The actor/musician has a Billboard No. 1 song, the highly successful television series Atlanta, and a major role in the latest Star Wars film as a young Lando Calrissian.

If that wasn't enough, he's also going to be the voice of Simba in the upcoming Lion King remake, starring opposite Beyoncé as Simba's love interest Nala.

Speaking with ET during a press stop for Solo: A Star Wars Story, Glover spoke a little about The Lion King, stating "We started recording some stuff and it's, you know, it's a little intimidating," clarifying, "[At least] from my point of view."

He spoke on Beyoncé's singing as well, explaining, "Just hearing her do it, it's been like, 'Man, this is a really special thing.'"

It's really refreshing to hear Glover in awe of another singer/actor, as a New Yorker profile from earlier in the year showed the Atlanta creator as a having a bit of an ego.

Glover also commented how great it is that everyone on set is a "fan," describing that, "They're like, 'So here are the lyrics,' and I'm like, 'I know the lyrics! Don't worry.'" Laughing, he says, "I was in fourth grade when this came out."

Despite appearing in Disney projects, however; his two children are "too young to give a crap about like any of it," he revealed, which keeps him "down to earth."

Glover still loves being part of The Lion King remake nonetheless, stating that it's, "probably the safest thing, just because everybody who's involved is a fan, and everybody who is involved knows it really well."

The Lion King is set to be released July 19, 2019 with Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as NalaChiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, John Kani as Rafiki, John Oliver as Zazu, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, Eric Andre as Azizi, Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, JD McCrary as young Simba, Shahadi Wright Joseph as young Nala, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa.

Donald Glover will also star in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story as Lando Calrissian opening in theaters on May 25th, 2018.
