Three is the perfect number for Jenelle Evans. The Teen Mom 2 star has given birth three times, starting with her first child Jace in 2009, and she's keeping it that way.
Jenelle made the brave decision of getting her tubes tied on Friday. The surgery was painful, but Us Weekly reports she's healing fine at the moment. The reality star also told E! News that she's "feeling very sore but taking it easy."
Evans had the surgery done for a variety of reasons, none being to prevent a dramatic pregnancy surprise for the MTV cameras. "I decided to do it because I had constant pain on my left side and I get extremely sick when pregnant. I'm also happy with the number of kids I have now," she said.
Jenelle and husband David Eason have two-year-old Ensley together, while she also has two kids, Jace and Kaiser, from previous relationships.
Jenelle also had biological concerns that led to the surgery. "Being back on my regular cycle was very important for me," she stated. "I was on the IUD for birth control and thinned out my lining. In the end I had my left ovary and polyps removed. They tied my right one, though, so I still have hormones."
Luckily for Evans, she had David by her side to support her after the procedure. On Saturday, Eason posted a photo of his wife to Instagram sitting in a wheelchair outside of a hospital with a surfboard in her lap.
"Got my babe a get well soon gift to encourage her to get back on her feet!" he captioned the pic. "It sucks you had to go through this but at least we got some answers and you should be all better in no time! I love you so much!"
Though a lot of Jenelle's actions makes us roll our eyes, we absolutely wish her a fast recovery after this serious procedure.
