With more and more details about the first Star Wars live-action series to debut on Disney's streaming series, The Mandalorian, coming out, it's exciting to hear news about a second show already in development.

According to Variety, Diego Luna will reprise his role from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, for an untitled live-action series set to stream on Disney Plus. The show will reportedly be a prequel to Rogue One

Luna, who will play Cassian Andor for the second time, shared:

“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

With The Mandalorian reportedly filming now, it should be only a matter of time until we get more details about this Rogue One prequel, such as the name and who will be helming it. As we previously reported, big-name stars have been tapped to direct The Mandalorian, such as Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi. This only gives us hope this prequel series will also be directed by some talented people.
