An untimely death has struck the 'Star Trek' world.
'Star Trek: Next Generation' actor Jon Paul Steuer has passed away, just aged 33.

The child star, who gained fame from playing Alexander Rozhenko in the show, died on New Year's Day, and the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
After his time acting, Steuer pursued a career in music, becoming a member of the band P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. He also DJed at various events.
In 2015, Steuer opened his own vegan restaurant in Portland, Oregon.
His band was actually scheduled for shows this week, very much still active.
Tributes have been flooding in on social media for the star.
